Key Responsibilities
Technical Excellence: Deliver expert advice on development projects, including complex development assessments, master planning, structure planning, and due diligence.
Client-Centred Approach: Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success throughout the lifecycle.
Leadership and Mentorship: Train and mentor team members to elevate their skills and foster the next generation of planning professionals.
Business Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support the expansion of the planning team and contribute to strategic business objectives.
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
General
Comprehensive understanding of the planning industry, including Queensland and local planning legislation, systems, and processes.
Proven leadership experience, demonstrated through mentoring and team development.
Strong knowledge of business principles gained through project/client management and business development.
Familiarity with business unit management and strategic planning.
Experience delivering town planning services for private and government sectors.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).
Eligible for membership with PIA.
Experience
Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in town planning, specializing in development assessment, master planning, and structure planning advice.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Accreditation as a Certified Practicing Planner (or eligibility).
Knowledge of contemporary marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and service awareness.
Familiarity with research methods to uncover new client and business opportunities.
Experience in monitoring and forecasting business growth and profit against targets.
Advanced experience in business strategy development, financial planning, and personnel management.
