Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planning services including preparing fee proposals, reports, and managing development application processes.
  • Conducting planning-related searches and assessments.
  • Preparing and reviewing planning forms and reports.
  • Managing development application referrals and documentation.
  • Liaise with local and state government authorities to ensure smooth progress and compliance with legislative lodgment timeframes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives and attend relevant industry events.
  • Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety, quality, and environmental awareness.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or a related field.
  • 1–2 years’ experience within the building and development industry.
  • Knowledge of local and state planning policies, codes, and legislation.
  • Experience in report writing and preparing fee proposals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A collaborative, professional attitude and a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Open C Class Driver’s License (Manual desirable).
  • PIA accreditation is desirable but not essential.
